Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services at an elementary school in Aurora, IL, supporting students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This part-time, contract position spans the remainder of the 2026 school year, starting in early January and concluding at the end of May. The role involves working approximately 2.5 days per week with a caseload comprising 12 students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 7 students receiving Response to Intervention (RTI) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students, addressing diverse communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement individualized education plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining detailed records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development.
- Maintain licensure and professional knowledge of current speech-language pathology practices in educational settings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) Endorsement for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Experience providing speech-language pathology services in school environments preferred.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
